Setting up Single Sign-on through OneLogin

Single sign-on (SSO) is a method of authentication enabling users to securely access various interconnected applications or systems with a single set of login credentials. SSO has been widely adopted by organizations in recent years and holds significant importance in their operations.
In this article, we'll see how to enable the SSO feature for Joomag in your OneLogin portal. 

Note: If you're using Microsoft Azure, as your identity provider, please, refer to these instructions.

Creating and configuring the SAML application 

 

1. Log into your OneLogin portal and locate the ''Applications section''. Click "Add app" to add the Application you want to connect with.

2. Search for "SAML Custom Connector (Advanced)" through the "Find applications" search bar.

3. Give a name to the connection to locate it in the existing list. Then open the "Configuration" section to configure the details to be retrieved from your Joomag account.

4. Open a new tab, log into your Joomag account, and go to the SSO settings.

5. Copy the Audience URL (Service Provider Entity ID) from the Joomag Dashboard and paste it into the Audience (EntityID) section in the Application details.

6. Copy the  Sign on URL, ACS, Recipient, or Redirect from Joomag Dashboard and add to the Recipient, ACS (Consumer) URL Validator*, and ACS (Consumer) URL* sections in OneLogin. 

7. Save the changes. 

8. Open the SSO Section of the newly created publication on OneLogin, copy the Certificate from there and paste it into "X.509 Certificate" input field on the Joomag platform

9. Copy the Issuer URL from OneLogin and add it to the Identity Provider Identifier or Issuer URL section in Joomag.
10. Copy SAML 2.0 Endpoint (HTTP) and paste it to the Identity Provider Single Sign-On URL section in Joomag.
11. Click "Enable Single Sign-on" on the Joomag dashboard. 

Adding users to the created Application

 

1. Go to the "Users" section of the OneLogin Dashboard and click the "New user" button to add users.

2. Add the name, surname, and e-mail address of the user you plan to add to the SSO configuration
3. Link the user to the application through the Users > Applications section

4. With the final step set up a password for the user and Save it.
