If you wish to change the paragraph alignment, follow these steps:
- Click on the text frame to activate the text-editing toolbar on the left
- Apply one of the following alignment types:
Align left | Aligns the text along the left side of the textbox | |
Align center | Centers the text leaving an even gap on each side of the line | |
Align right | Aligns the text along the right side of the textbox | |
Justify with last line aligned left | Gives the text straight edges on both sides, leaving the last line aligned left | |
Justify with last line aligned right | Gives the text straight edges on both sides, leaving the last line aligned right | |
Justify with last line aligned center | Gives the text straight edges on both sides, leaving the last line centered | |
Justify all lines | Justifies the text in a paragraph, including the last line |
Indenting
Increase Indent | Increases the left margin | |
Decrease Indent | Reverses Increase Indent operation, so you can apply it only if Increase Indent was already applied to the text. | |
First line left Indent |
The first line of a paragraph is indented more than the other lines in the paragraph | |
Left Indent | Indents the paragraph on the left by the amount you choose | |
Right Indent | Indents the paragraph on the right by the amount you choose |
Paragraph spacing
Click the up or down arrows to adjust the distance before or after the paragraph. You can also type a number directly.
Bulleted and Numbered Lists
Bulleted list | Creates a series of items broken up by dotted points | |
